Kathleen has been a practicing Certified Medical Assistant, CMA (AAMA), since obtaining certification in January 2000. A 1999 alumna of the 91¿ì²¥ Medical Assistant Program, Kathleen joined the MA faculty in fall 2010 and has been the program director since spring 2019.
Kathleen is a member of the (AAMA) and the (MSMA). She is very active in both professional organizations recruiting and maintaining members, and has held various positions on the MSMA board.
Kathleen has work experiences in both clinical and hospital settings. She currently holds a casual position with Allina Health Faribault Clinic.  She has also worked as a phlebotomist in the Allina Health laboratory, and as a CMA for Northfield Hospital and Clinics, and in a variety of medical specialties. 
She lives in Fairbault, Minn. and loves spending time with her two daughters and two granddaughters. Her other pastimes include reading, updating her home, and watching movies. She also enjoys walking through the and area parks.
Students are the best part of her job at 91¿ì²¥. She enjoys watching the confidence grow in her students and knowing she has helped a student learn. Regarding her teaching philosophy, Kathleen strives to incorporate her work experiences into her classes. She feels this connection between the classroom and the outside world will further help 91¿ì²¥ students be successful.
