Brett Kolles is a full-time English instructor in the General Education department. He also serves as the 91快播 Rotaract co-advisor. Brett has a master's degree in English, a master's certificate in business communications and a B.A. in journalism from the  in St. Paul, Minn.

Brett has presented at several literary conferences including:

• Research Society for Victorian Periodicals at Yale University
• Arts and Humanities Conference in Honolulu, Hawaii
• Victorian Conference in Richmond, Va.
• Humanities Conference at Northern Illinois University

In 2019, Brett was selected as the 91快播 candidate for the Minnesota Board of Trustees Outstanding Educator Award.  In 2014, Brett won the Minnesota Instructor of the Year award selected by the Minnesota State College Student Association.

"Students learn best when they are engaged," Brett said, regarding his teaching philosophy. "I try to marry fun and humor with academic rigor in the classroom."

As for the best part of his job as a 91快播 instructor, Brett enjoys the atmosphere at the college. "91快播 has an invigorating campus because we embrace fresh ideas, new technology and creative pedagogical approaches to teaching."

Brett's hobbies include reading, writing, pickleball, traveling and poker.
