Raquel is a first-generation college graduate with roots in El Salvador. She has a passion to bring people together across cultures, race and ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, education, social needs, and all parts of our individual and collective identities. After graduating from the University of California, Davis with her B.A. degree in Sociology (with an emphasis on Law and Society) and double minored in Philosophy and English, Raquel served as an AmeriCorps member with City Year, Washington, DC. Thereafter, she received her certification in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusive Leadership from the University of South Florida.
In any role she takes, Raquel fosters collaboration with intentions to uplift marginalized voices and hold space for all. In her free time, she enjoys foodie adventures, running or walking with her dog and son, reading, creating art, and sitting out enjoying the sun!
