Peer tutoring also looks great on a resume. It can demonstrate the following skills to future employers:
To become a peer tutor, complete the Peer Tutor Application and return to Heather Kleimola-Hulbert in the Center for Student Success, room 2-101, or via email at heather.kleimola-hulbert@dctc.edu.
Peer tutors are an asset not only to students, but also to instructors. Faculty and staff can recommend students who would make good tutors or identify students in need of tutoring. Email your request to success@dctc.edu.
“In spring 2021, the 91快播 Business Program had the opportunity to embed peer tutoring for the first time, and the experience of having a peer tutor surpassed our expectations. Our peer tutor was able to communicate with our students effectively at their same level, and she actively listened to our students challenges understanding the course work, managing priorities, and advocating for their success. Our program was able to keep more students engaged in their learning process and to have more students successfully completing their courses. We are looking forward to permanently have a program peer tutor again.”
- Harold Torrence, Instructor, Business Management
