SAGA (Sexuality and Gender Alliance) is an alliance of LGBTQ+-identified campus community members from every part of the sexuality and gender spectrums, their allies, and others who are invested in learning about the LGBTQ+ community. SAGA centers students' voices, and is explicitly welcoming of intersectional experiences beyond the bounds of sexuality and gender, including race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, religion, nationality, language proficiency, ability, age, size, and neurotype.
SAGA values acceptance of self, of our community, and each other’s journeys, creates space for community and connection, encourages learning, growth, and openness to new ideas, and, importantly, cultivates joy through space for rest, fun, and making friends.
SAGA meetings are relaxed and focus on planning events and making social connections on campus and beyond.
SAGA enacts these values through the following activities:
Meetings are every other Tuesday; 1-2 p.m. in room 2-142.
