    This course emphasizes knowledge of the human condition and human cultures, especially in relation to behavior, ideas, and values as demonstrated in short novels. Course topics include, but are not necessarily restricted to, the study of setting, structure, characterization, point of view, and prose style as demonstrated in short novels. The course also covers themes, concerns, and attitudes expressed in fiction across a range of periods. Meets MnTC Goal 6
