    Digital marketing uses marketing strategies through electronic devices such as computers, tablets, and other mobile devices to engage with consumers and other business partners. Internet Marketing is a major component of digital marketing. In this course, we will cover the what, why, and how of major current approaches, including online listening and monitoring, search engine optimization, search ads, email marketing, and participating in social media. The course is designed to offer knowledge on digital trends and teach students how to remain current as technology and devices evolve. In addition, students will receive relevant hands-on experience through assignments and exercises.

    1. Describe online marketing techniques for listening, monitoring, and communicating with target markets.
    2. Explain how a marketer can keep current on emerging digital marketing technologies and innovations, while adhering to ethical practices and government online regulations.
    3. Apply secondary and primary research techniques to determine a target market, how to reach them, and what message to use to encourage attention, interest, desire, and purchase of products and services through digital platforms.
    4. Create a digital marketing plan to provide communications to an organization's target market through digital media and platforms to promote stakeholder desired behaviors.
    5. Prepare marketing goals and measurable objectives to assist in creating digital marketing strategies.
    6. Assess various online marketing strategies and data analytics techniques to promote effectiveness created for a digital marketing plan.
