    This course introduces students to the fundamentals of creative writing. the focus is on fiction and poetry; nonfiction and screenwriting may be covered as well . Meets MnTC Goals 1 and 6.

    1. Create believable fictional dialogue.
    2. Create believable fictional plots.
    3. Describe settings vividly in fiction.
    4. Work with figurative language allusion.
    5. Work with poetry rhyme.
    6. Work with poetry rhythm.
    7. Work with symbolism and metaphors in figurative language.
