The purpose of the evaluation is to ensure:
Annual evaluations of college administrators and staff will be conducted. Completed evaluations are due to Human Resources by June 30 each fiscal year.
Administrators are evaluated annually using criteria based on leadership, management and supervision, interpersonal relationships, and community and college relations.
Prior to the evaluation meeting the supervisor and employee shall separately review and propose updates to the employee’s position description and create goals for the coming year. In addition, the supervisor will complete the appropriate performance evaluation document.
Administrators may undergo a more comprehensive evaluation including input from both inside and outside sources in the form of a performance survey. Results of the surveys will be discussed during the formal administrator review.
Following the performance evaluation meeting, the employee and supervisor shall sign the evaluation form and revised position description, if applicable. The employee may provide written comments to address any concerns they may have regarding the evaluation. The materials shall be forwarded to Human Resources and placed in the employee’s personnel file.
Supervisors will receive an automated email for any reviews (annual, step increase, mid-point probation, end of probation) that will need to be completed within the next thirty (30) days. Action on the step increase review is necessary by the supervisor for the employee to receive this increase. Supervisors who anticipate disciplinary action, withholding the step for performance, or extending the probation due to performance need to notify the employee and Human Resources prior to the due date.
